Elizabeth A. H. Wilson

Research Summary:

Elizabeth's research interests include aging and memory within the context of healthcare. Specifically, her focus is on the potential impact of the design of print materials on older adults' understanding and memory of health-related information. She is also interested in the potential effects of cognitive engagement on age-related changes in mental functioning. Currently, she is collaborating with researchers at the Health Literacy and Learning Program in the Institute for Healthcare Studies at Northwestern Medical School on a project examining the effects of modality on immediate and delayed recall of print and video-based educational materials.
