                                                ii.                   Group Equivalence

 

·        7 separate worksheets are provided.  Each worksheet contains a list of 105 categories, sorted by degree of equivalence of responses, based on Hellinger Affinity (HA) and Jensen-Shannon (JS) scores, between two comparison groups. 

 

·        In each worksheet (with the exception of the last worksheet #7), the list of 105 categories is sorted by HA scores, from highest to lowest (i.e., from the most to least equivalent across comparison groups).  Each worksheet also contains links to data files (in HTML and MS-Excel formats) containing summary and frequency data for each category.

 

·        Worksheet #7 contains a list of 105 categories, with HA and JS scores summarized for each of the following comparison groups:  1) Young vs. Old American, 2) Young vs. Old Chinese, 3) Young American vs. Chinese, and 4) Old American vs. Chinese.  The 13 categories listed above the yellow line are judged to be relatively high in terms of equivalence across all culture by age groups.  Below the yellow line, the remaining 92 categories are listed alphabetically.  This worksheet also contains links to data files (in HTML and MS-Excel formats) containing summary and frequency data for each category
